We rarely show our work. These three are shared with the permission of the travellers, with names and dates removed. They are not itineraries to buy. They are examples of how far a single journey can be considered.
A fortnight through the Scandinavian winter, self-driven and fully arranged. From Åre in Sweden the route traces its great arctic loop up to the North Cape, the very edge of Europe, and back, over frozen lakes and deep into Lapland, everything scouted and pre-driven in advance.
The expedition opens with two days of ice driving alongside former WRC champions, then carries on to harness the huskies, ride a snowmobile across the Finnmark plateau, and chase the northern light over the Lofoten.

Three weeks for a family of four, opening in Singapore and Bangkok, drawn north to the temples of Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai, and closing with a week of pool villas on Koh Samui. City, mountain and island, each given its own pace.
Fast-track through every airport, private guides at the Grand Palace and Doi Suthep, the White and Blue Temples of Chiang Rai, and a private yacht through the Angthong marine park.
Some of the places we use, Tatvani in the hills of Chiang Rai among them, cannot be booked through the usual channels. They are opened to us through the people we know.

A private family journey along the Nile, beginning beneath the pyramids at Cairo and drawn slowly upstream from Aswan to Luxor aboard a chartered dahabiya. The great sites opened with a private guide, then a close on the Red Sea at Sahl Hasheesh.
Pyramids, Sphinx, Memphis and Sakkara; the Grand Egyptian Museum and Khan El-Khalili; Philae, Kom Ombo and Edfu under sail; the Valley of the Kings and Karnak, with a private jet linking Cairo to Aswan.

Beyond the route itself lies the quieter work: the arrangements made long in advance, so that on the day nothing has to be asked for. A few examples of what that can mean.
A travelling nanny who already knows your children's sleep times, their doctor, and the meals they love. Certified, and able to give lessons on the road.
Their favourite soft toys, kept safe by the nanny until the moment they are needed.
Rooms inspected by our own crew, and you checked in before you ever reach the desk.
Your clothes unpacked and hung, waiting in the wardrobe at the next destination.
Privacy agreed with the hotel in advance, so nothing has to be asked twice.
Your favourite drinks already waiting in the transfer, and aboard the private jet.
Not simply a private driver, but one who knows you would rather not talk, with chilled sparkling water ready in the car.
Your usual perfume ready and waiting, should your luggage be delayed.
Medication that is hard to find locally, quietly sourced and on hand.
A doctor who speaks your language, on standby throughout.
Visas, permissions, and formalities arranged long before you travel.
For golf, your exact club configuration prepared and ready on arrival.
We have travelled a great deal and thought we knew what private meant. This was the first time nothing was left to chance and nothing felt arranged.
